Answers, not a ticket number.
Fit, power, freight, returns and certification — the five things that actually decide whether a machine works in your bay.
Fit and installation
The measurements that decide it, and the ones we won't guess at for you.
Will a lift fit in my garage?
Ceiling height decides it more often than anything else. Every lift page lists the overall height, the maximum lifting height and the column or post dimensions exactly as the manufacturer publishes them.
Measure from the floor to the lowest obstruction — joists, the garage door track, the opener rail — not to the ceiling itself. That is the measurement people get wrong.
If you are close to the line, call 406-604-0949 before you order. We would rather talk you out of the wrong lift than ship it.
What power supply do I need?
Each product page lists the voltage and phase published by the manufacturer. Most of our lifts run single-phase, and many offer both a 110V and a 220V option.
We do not publish breaker sizes, circuit amperage or wire gauges. Those depend on your building, the run length and your local code, and a figure that is right for one shop is dangerous in another. Have a licensed electrician confirm the circuit before installation.
Does it have to bolt to the floor?
Two-post and most four-post lifts are anchored to the slab. The required anchor pattern, embedment depth and concrete specification come from that model's own installation manual.
We do not publish a general slab thickness, because the right answer differs by model and a wrong one is a safety problem rather than an inconvenience. Tell us the model and we will point you at what the manufacturer specifies.
Do you install it?
We supply the equipment; we do not install it. Installation is handled by you or a local contractor, and for a lift that normally means an anchoring job on a suitable slab.
Call 406-604-0949 and we can talk through what the manual asks for before you book anyone.
Shipping and freight
Equipment this size moves on a pallet, not in a van. Here is what that means on the day.
What does shipping cost?
Orders of $499 or more ship free. Smaller orders are quoted at checkout.
Freight deliveries go to the curb or the end of the driveway. If a liftgate is needed we will tell you, rather than let you find out when the truck arrives.
How is a lift actually delivered?
Lifts and other large machines ship by LTL freight, bolted to a pallet. That is a different service from UPS or FedEx: the carrier calls you to schedule a window, and someone has to be there to meet the truck and sign for it.
The driver brings the pallet to the back of the truck and no further. Standard freight delivery is to the curb or the end of your driveway — not into your garage — and the driver will not carry, position, uncrate or assemble anything.
Call 406-604-0949 before you order if the street is narrow, the drive is steep or gravel, or there is no forklift on site.
What is a liftgate, and do I need one?
A liftgate is a powered platform that lowers the pallet from truck height to the ground. That is all it does — it does not move the pallet to your bay, and it has a weight limit that some of the heavier lifts exceed.
Once the pallet is on the ground it is yours to move, which for equipment this heavy means a pallet jack on flat solid ground, or several people and a plan.
Call us and we will tell you honestly whether your delivery needs one, and whether the model you are looking at is too heavy for it.
How long until it arrives?
Transit time depends on the manufacturer and the freight carrier, and it varies by model and destination. We do not post a blanket delivery estimate, because it would be wrong more often than right.
Call 406-604-0949 with the model you are looking at and we will tell you where that item stands.
Returns and damage
The ten minutes before you sign the delivery receipt matter more than anything else on this page.
It arrived damaged. What do I do?
This is a freight claim, not a return, and it is ours to handle — but it depends almost entirely on what happens before you sign.
Before signing the delivery receipt, walk the pallet: check the crate for punctures, crushed corners and shifted banding, and check column and rail surfaces for gouges.
If anything is damaged, write it on the delivery receipt before you sign — "carton crushed, column scratched", whatever you see — and photograph it while the truck is still there. A signed clean receipt tells the carrier the freight arrived in good order, and once you have signed one a claim becomes very hard to win.
Note it, sign, keep your copy, and call us the same day at 406-604-0949.
Can I return something I changed my mind about?
Yes. Terms depend on the item and the manufacturer, and freight items have to go back by freight — the part most people do not expect.
Read the full terms on our refund policy page, and call 406-604-0949 before sending anything back so we can arrange it properly.
What warranty comes with it?
Warranty is the manufacturer's, not ours, and it is listed on each product page exactly as they publish it. Terms differ by brand and by model, so we do not quote a blanket figure.
If a page does not show one, that manufacturer has not published it. Ask and we will get it in writing before you order.
Specs and certification
Where our numbers come from, and what we will not claim.
Are your specifications accurate?
Every figure on this site comes from the manufacturer's own published documentation. Where a manufacturer does not publish a number, we leave the row out rather than estimate it or borrow it from a similar model.
That is why some of our spec tables are shorter than other sites'. A missing row means nobody published it — not that we forgot.
Need a figure that is not listed? Call and we will get it from the manufacturer rather than guess.
Is the equipment ALI certified?
Where a manufacturer publishes a certification for a specific model, we list it on that product page and name the certification exactly.
We do not claim ALI certification for a model that does not appear in the Automotive Lift Institute directory. CE marking is not ALI certification and will not satisfy an inspector asking for ALI.
If certification matters for your insurance or your inspector, call 406-604-0949 and we will confirm the status of the exact model before you order.
Orders and payment
Tracking, payment methods and accounts.
Where is my order?
Tracking goes out by email once the order leaves the warehouse — carrier name and PRO number for freight shipments. It is also in your account under Orders.
Nothing arrived, or the carrier has gone quiet? Give us the order number and we will chase it.
How can I pay?
Major credit and debit cards and digital wallets at checkout. For larger orders we also accept a bank wire — call 406-604-0949 and we will send the details and confirm the order once funds arrive.
We do not currently offer financing. If that changes it will appear at checkout rather than being promised here.
Do I need an account to order?
No. Checkout as a guest works exactly the same, with the same free shipping over $499.
An account keeps your orders, invoices and delivery addresses together, which helps if you are buying for a shop. You can create one here.
Can I get a quote for several items?
Yes. Build the list on our For the Pros page and send it over, or go straight to Request a Quote.
For anything involving a purchase order or a tax-exempt certificate, talk to us first.
Choosing equipment
The questions that genuinely need a person.
Which machine should I buy?
That one needs a conversation. It depends on your bay, your vehicles and what you actually do all day, and a generic recommendation is worse than useless at these prices.
Two ways in: build a list on For the Pros and send it over, or call 406-604-0949, Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm Mountain.
Is the equipment new?
Everything we list is new, in the manufacturer's original crate, shipped from the manufacturer or their authorized distributor. We do not sell used, refurbished or open-box equipment, and we do not rebox or rebrand anything.
Nothing matched that
Try a shorter word, or call 406-604-0949 — Monday to Saturday, 8am to 6pm Mountain.
Still stuck?
Tell us the model and the bay. We will give you a straight answer, including when the answer is that nothing we carry suits it.
